We Make Dream Kitchens for Your Reality
Other bloggers love to proclaim how your “dream kitchen is the heart of the home” and the prized jewel around which your family’s greatest memories orbit. The dream kitchen reality is probably more like Grand Central Station and better be up to the task. Chaotic, unceasing traffic involves quick snacks, quick spills, grand culinary successes, abysmal baking failures, more spills, midnight sneak snacks, crumbs, sneaky pets, mystery messes, mystery smudges, inexplicable perhaps paranormal anomalies- which are always the dog’s fault. Your kitchen will be ready for all of it! Let’s take one kitchen for an illustration and stay tuned for future blogs on kitchens because we love them, and we really love blogging about them!
Many custom home builders can easily build out some variation of your so-called “dream kitchen” with fancy stone countertops and endless amounts of storage. Keeping your reality kitchen from turning into a nightmare takes a little more work. This space must purposefully and elegantly manifest your personal style and aesthetic preferences. Large cabinets are easy to build and on the surface they look great. However, the reality of storing and searching for pots, pans and small appliances gets time consuming and frustrating. Always bending over having to dig out what you are looking from the back of under-counter cabinets is a hassle you don’t need. Large, well spaced drawers eliminate this hassle. Properly designed kitchens involve getting to know and understand you and your family. Incorporating the right materials, finishes, appliances and amenities while also educating you on the pros and cons is essential.
Open floor plans require a seamless ambiance but unambiguous separation of living room and kitchen space . This kitchen has direct line of sight through the living room and fireplace and ample seating room available at the island. This set up allows for simultaneous prepping and engagement with others. Whether entertaining lots of guests, a small intimate gathering, or just spending time with family— this space is ready. The island is located quite centrally with plenty of room for several people to freely move about. Readily accessible to the subzero refrigerator, stove, both sinks and other prep surfaces enhances your prowess and feelings of culinary mastery! The microwave conveniently tucked into the island, along with a secondary sink and pull-out trash receptacle all of which allows continuous movement throughout the space. Ample power sources are conveniently located throughout, even on the island. Whoever said there were too many cooks in the kitchen never owned a Trinity Estate Home.
Polished granite, when properly sealed, can withstand pretty much anything children and grown ups can throw at it! It’s insanely heat resistant so when the occasionally inevitable burnt dish comes out you can set it down disappointingly and take a few minutes to grieve. This mesmerizing stone brings a little slice of mother nature’s awesomeness and glory into the ‘heart of your home’. Additionally it’s very hygienic with very few pours where bacteria and viruses love to hide.
The custom paneling and millwork harmonizes formal elegance and modern convenience throughout. Pronounced arches echo from the custom millwork on the built-in subzero refrigerator through the gently lit cupboards and cabinetry to the elegant but smooth finishes on the range hood. These aren’t merely great design choices for looks alone as many still prefer stainless steel; these surfaces are also much easier to clean.
Our kitchens include other important features regarding convenience for accessing storage space. The cupboards at eye level open outward, but the massive storage below is all accessible with large drawers. This reduces constant bending over or having reach way back behind different appliances finding what your looking for. And of course these drawers are always soft close. We build nothing less than the best.
Possible drawbacks are few- the polished granite while mesmerizing may show prints and smudges a little easier than honed or leather finished granite. Chasing the perpetrators away and wiping with a soft cloth may be necessary. The open shelves are great for the super organized people who have a knack for displaying spices and other dry goods in a visually pleasing way. They deserve praise and medals of commendation from the rest of us who corral everything behind closed doors and call it a day. Finally the ridiculous amount of storage may lead to branching out and trying new appliances and kitchen utensils, for that we apologize in advance.
We can promise to build you the reality kitchen of your dreams! We have unmatched dedication and expertise to build it right.
